NOVASTAT CV 10MG Capsule** is a combination medicine that contains Rosuvastatin (10 mg), a statin that helps reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, and Clopidogrel, an antiplatelet agent that prevents blood clot formation. This dual-action formulation is prescribed to patients who are at high risk of heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular events, especially those with hypertension, diabetes, atherosclerosis, or a history of heart disease.

Rosuvastatin works by blocking the liver enzyme responsible for cholesterol production, thereby lowering harmful cholesterol levels and improving heart health over time. Clopidogrel, on the other hand, inhibits platelet aggregation, reducing the risk of clots that can block arteries.

The capsule is usually taken once daily, with or without food, at a fixed time to maintain consistent blood levels. Treatment effectiveness increases when combined with diet control, regular exercise, and lifestyle modifications such as quitting smoking and reducing alcohol intake.

Common side effects may include muscle pain, indigestion, headache, dizziness, or abdominal discomfort.
