NODON 5 MG Tablet is a once-daily prescription medication featuring Nebivolol, a beta‑1 adrenergic blocker that not only slows heart rate but also promotes blood vessel relaxation through nitric oxide release. As a result, it effectively lowers blood pressure and reduces cardiac strain, helping prevent complications like heart attacks, strokes, and migraines .
Common uses include management of essential hypertension, stable chronic heart failure in older adults, and off-label uses in cardiac arrhythmias, angina, thyrotoxicosis symptoms, and migraine prophylaxis .
Taken once daily, with or without food, NODON starts working within a few hours, but full effects may take 2–4 weeks . Treatment is usually long-term, and discontinuation should be gradual to avoid rebound hypertension .
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, shortness of breath, swelling, and insomnia, which are generally mild and transient .
