NOVACLOX LB CAP
NOVACLOX LB Capsule is a prescription antibiotic–probiotic combination manufactured by Cipla, containing Amoxicillin and Dicloxacillin—β-lactam antibiotics that disrupt bacterial cell wall synthesis—paired with a Lactic Acid Bacillus probiotic to replenish healthy intestinal flora
It is indicated for a wide range of bacterial infections, including those of the lungs, throat (sinusitis, otitis media), skin and soft tissues, urinary tract, bone, dental areas, heart (endocarditis prophylaxis), and gastrointestinal system (such as bacterial diarrhea) . The probiotic component helps reduce the risk of diarrhoea often seen with antibiotic therapy
Dosing & Administration:
Capsules are taken twice daily with food to improve tolerance, typically for 7–10 days, depending on the specific infection. Complete the prescribed course to avoid antibiotic resistance
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, headache, and occasional rash or allergic reactions. Most are mild and resolve with continued use .
