ORTIPAN 50 MG Tablet is a prescription medication designed to treat chronic nerve pain through a synergistic blend of:

• Pregabalin (50 mg): an anticonvulsant that binds to calcium channels in nerve cells, reducing the release of pain-related neurotransmitters.

• Nortriptyline (10 mg): a tricyclic antidepressant that enhances serotonin and noradrenaline levels, diminishing the perception of pain in the brain .

It is primarily used for relief from conditions like diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, fibromyalgia, and other nerve-related pain syndromes . The medication is typically taken once daily, with or without food, and often recommended at bedtime to reduce drowsiness and support sleep . Do not stop taking it suddenly—dose tapering is required to avoid withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, insomnia, nausea, or worsening pain .

Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, weight gain, nausea, excessive sweating, and nasal congestion . These are usually mild and diminish over time with continued use.
